SOS had the pleasure of undertaking the audio,visual and lighting with iPad control fit out at Dee Why RSL. With The Angels confirmed to play a live gig on the opening night; it was a race against time. With the builders so often running into the AVL team’s schedule, ensuring you have the right team that can work to time and budget is always, as with any project; the biggest challenge. Of course, in true form the boys at SOS pulled it off.
Starting with the newly built auditorium, which required a full Line Array loud speaker system complimented by Yamaha’s DME 24N for audio mixing/processing and matched with the RIO3224 D; providing digital multicore connection, allowing for adaptable configuration for present and future applications.
On the vision side of things, SOS Communications specified the brilliant Panasonic PT-DZ770EK HD widescreen media projector.
To control the system SOS find the Crestron CP2E to work seamlessly with Apple iPad technology for user friendly system control.
SOS also provided and installed a complete LED lighting system to enrich the space, including fixed heads, moving heads and traditional luminaries driven by an ETC SmartFade console.
SOS then moved on to completing six function rooms, complete with automated control via Crestron and Apple iPads. Each room has the capability of being linked or unlinked with seamless audio visual control; which can be operated by any of the clubs events staff, providing an extremely user friendly experience. Dee Why RSL staff can easily control any of the multiple sources and combinations of lectern and radio microphones, all from the ease of simple iPad pages; all customized by SOS Communications.
Additionally, SOS have upgraded the club audio system via the Media Matrix Nion which provides complete audio to the entire club, including the recent refurbishment and the addition of the excellent bistro, new lounge and outside lounge.
